I am a seriously gorgeous engagement ring and I have had a tumultuous life which is now coming to an end with the note you have just read. Or at least my life with Cathy who has loved and cherished me for the last seven years.
She really has treasured me and only once, the note day, has she thrown me across the room. I think she was aiming for the window, but what can I say she is a terrible shot and I fell short landing safely on the sofa with no marks, no nicks, still perfectly formed.
The note, a shock to me as much as it is to Cathy. You see, a fine piece of Jewellery like myself becomes totally attuned to their wearee and Cathy simmered with joyousness every day she wore me. Until that fatal note day. I now sit in my own case with no human warmth to keep me calm and I need that human warmth, the real love soaked feel that I know so well or I knew.
For many weeks and it feels like a year, I have sat alone and even sent to a dark place with many other lost gems, a place called a valuer of fine jewellery where I was poked & prodded and inspected with uncaring eyes. Now I have a piece of paper that proclaims my worth. As if the love and eternity I have given Cathy could be a value a small as 12 thousand dollars. phtew.
Well, If a diamond could cry, today is the day. She is selling me, like I am just a possession and for less than half of the price that cold handed, cold eyed valuer blasted well said I am worth. Why not just melt me down and crush me to dust? Four thousand five hundred dollars ($4500). I feel so dirty.
Please help me. I have been cast aside. I need a new and loving lady who wants a very expensive and beautiful engagement ring for a beautifully moderate price.
